Copperline Auto Climate is a single-location shop on Tennessee Avenue that does one thing seriously well: vehicle climate control. A/C diagnostics, refrigerant service, heater cores, blower motors, cabin ventilation and engine cooling — inspected, quoted in writing, and repaired by the same technician who tested it.

What we do
Six service lines, one specialty
We are not a general repair garage. Everything in the bay is heating, cooling, ventilation or the engine-cooling loop that feeds it — which is why our diagnostic time is short and our second visits are rare.
Refrigerant recovery & recharge
Machine evacuation, vacuum hold test, weighed charge to manufacturer spec for R-134a and R-1234yf systems. We never top off a leaking system without telling you.

Nothing gets replaced on a guess
Climate faults are easy to misdiagnose and expensive to guess at. A blower that runs but doesn't blow can be a filter, a case leak, a blend actuator, or a wiring fault — and each one has a very different bill. So every vehicle gets tested before anything gets quoted.

Call, email or use the estimate form. Two minutes of questions usually tells us which test to start with and how long to reserve.
Measured diagnosis
Gauge readings, vent temperatures, scan data and a leak test. Typically 45–90 minutes while you wait or work in the lounge.
Written estimate
Parts, labor, refrigerant and shop supplies itemized, with photos. You approve before a wrench moves.
Repair & verification
We re-test the finished system under load, record vent temperatures on the invoice, and log the warranty start date.

Do I need an appointment?
Yes for diagnosis, so a bay and a technician are reserved for you. Cabin filter and odor treatments are usually same-day walk-ins before 3:00 pm. In June through August, plan on two to four business days out.
How much is a recharge?
$149–$210 for most R-134a systems and $260–$390 for R-1234yf, refrigerant included. If the system is empty it has a leak, and we'll quote the leak repair before charging it.
Will you just add refrigerant if I ask?
Not into a system that's leaking — venting refrigerant is illegal under EPA Section 609 and it wastes your money. We'll always tell you what we found first.
What do you accept for payment?
Cash, debit, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover in the shop at pickup. We don't take payments through this website and never ask for card numbers by email.
Do you work on hybrids and EVs?
Yes. High-voltage electric compressors and heat pumps require POE-safe equipment, which we keep on a dedicated machine so oils never cross-contaminate.
